Here in Virginia, early voting for the Presidential Primary has begun. The 45 day early voting period is now underway ahead of Virginia’s Primary Election Day, which is March 5th. President Joe Biden is on the Democratic ticket and former President Donald Trump is the Republican front runner, but both of them face competition here in Virginia. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy will all be on the ballot, although they all have already suspended their campaigns after acknowledging that they were unlikely to be successful.
Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, along with Texas pastor Ryan Binkley at last check, were still on the ballot, despite the fact that Haley lost by double digits yesterday to Trump in New Hampshire. On the Democratic side, Joe Biden is facing Minnesota Rep. Dean Phillips and activist Marianne Williamson. The last day to register is February 12th, and the last day of in-person early voting is March 2nd.
