Dominion Gets OK To Build Solar Plants

The State Corporation Commission gives the green light to Dominion Energy’s plans to construct 23 new solar and battery projects. According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch ratepayets will be assessed a surcharge amounting to about 38 cents for a 1,000 kilowatt-hour bill. Once the projects come online they will generate more than 800 megawatts of electricity, enough to power roughly 200,000 homes.
