DOF Offering Emerald Ash Borer Treatment Cost Share Program

The Virginia Department of Forestry is offering a cost-share program for treating ash trees for the emerald ash borer, which is a destructive non-native insect. The program can help landowners and organizations offset 50% of costs for treatment of ash trees with insecticide. The limit is $1,250 in cost share payments to landowners or $5,000 in cost share payments per organization. Log on to dof.virginia.gov for program requirements and application information.
