DelRio Wins Irvington Town Council Special Election

Gabe del Rio III is declared the winner of an Irvington Town Council special election which was decided by a draw of a ping-pong-ball. The Rappahannock Record reports the vote counts for del Rio and Bonnie J. Schaschek were tied after ballot counting was completed. Lancaster County deputy registrar Kelsey Zentmyer says the ping-pong-ball drawing took place November 18. DelRio will fill an unexpired term.
