Colonial Beach Upgrading Town Hall’s HVAC

The Colonial Beach Town Council unanimously approved purchasing new heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment for the town hall. News on the Neck reports the decision was made fter reviewing proposals presented by director of Public Works Diane Beyer. The option chosen by the council was for the use of mini-split systems which are far more efficient than the window-mounted AC units. Beyer had asked for $50,000, about $10,000 per unit, stating that it was more than the actual listed price in case of an emergency.
