Colonial Beach Fatal Shooting Suspect Takes Plea Deal

The suspect in a 2020 Colonial Beach fatal shooting takes a plea deal. According to Westmoreland News Malcolm Epps pleaded guilty to 2nd degree murder and use of a firearm in the death of Alfonso Wilson, Jr. at Riverwood Apartments. He was sentenced to 40 years with 26 years suspended on the 2nd degree murder charge and 3 years on the use of the firearm charge Epps will also be on supervised release for 5 years after his sentence.
