Budget Vote This Afternoon

Lancaster County supervisors have unanimously agreed to a $20.4 million school budget, marking a 12.8% increase from the current budget. The budget will fund a 7% raise for all staff, with teachers receiving a 5.5% raise plus a 1.5% step. The starting teacher salary will now be $50,832. The budget also includes provisions for new positions including a STEAM teacher, three behavioral specialists, and part-time roles in marketing and athletics. The school board will vote on the proposed budget at 5:30 this afternoon, at Lancaster Elementary School.
