Blood Type added to Virginia Driver’s license

Virginians can now list their blood types on their drivers licenses. It is optional, not required. It is a way to help first responders in the case of an emergency, customers who want to replace, renew or apply for a new drivers license. Or ID card will be asked whether they want to have their blood type show on that document. The blood type will be displayed in a small icon on the front of your license or ID.
