BBB Warns Of Student Loan Forgiveness Scams

The Better Business Bureau is warning about new scams resulting from President Biden’s student loan forgiveness program. A BBB spokesperson tells 8 News the scammers reach out by phone or mail and claim to be facilitators in the loan forgiveness process but in reality they’re just trying to get personal information. Some scammers ask for an upfront payment to get the debt forgiven.
