Chesapeake Bank’s recent school-supply drive helped 350 kids in need go back to school with new clothes and supplies. all donations benefited the Northern Neck Family YMCA’s Bright Beginnings Program. In addition to the school supplies, Chesapeake Bank raised more than $5,000 in the communities it serves. Assistant Vice President and Kilmarnock branch manager Cathy Snowden said “I never grow tired of seeing the pure joy on the faces of the children who benefit from this program.” Snowden and 10 other Bank employees also volunteered to be a Bright Beginnings Shopping Buddy last month, taking time out of their schedules to go shopping for clothes with area kids.
