AAA Says Memorial Day Travel Will Be Higher This Year

Over 1.2 Virginians will be traveling a distance of 50 miles or more over the Memorial Day weekend according to AAA. That’s more than 5% higher than last year and the fourth busiest Memorial Day weekend since AAA started tracking the holiday forecast in 2000. The club says close to 90% of those travelers will be on the road. Nearly 100,000 Virginians are expected to fly to their destinations this year.
