    Tickets that were meant for the Northern Neck Orchestra concert which was canceled for March 1st due to icy road conditions can be used to attend the concert at Northumberland High School on March 8th at 3 p.m. Because the same concert was being performed on both March 1st and March 8th, patrons who were planning to attend the first performance can use their tickets to attend the second. www.NorthernNeckOrchestra.org

    The Northumberland County Sheriff’s Dept has issued an emergency alert – freezing rain and sleet has coated the roads in a layer of ice resulting in multiple accidents.  Ice is expected to continue throughout the day making conditions worse.  It is suggested that motorists stay off the roads during this time.
