    The West­more­land 4-H pro­gram is look­ing for vol­un­teers to help staff a com­mu­nity sim­u­la­tion event for 8th-graders at Mon­tross Mid­dle School on May 1. The event is called Real­ity Store and teaches stu­dents finan­cial lit­er­acy. Vol­un­teers play the roles of com­mu­nity lead­ers and mem­bers and inter­act with stu­dents in the sim­u­la­tion.     Over the week­end, a 42-foot crab boat tran­si­tion­ing from New­port News to Glouces­ter was hit by a wave the flooded the engine com­part­ment, dis­abling the ves­sel. The crew of one adult and two teens called 9–1-1 for assis­tance. The Coast Guard along with state and local res­cue teams were able to secure the boat and treat one teen for motion sickness.
