Administrators, faculty and staff head back for a brand new school year today. Lancaster public school students will once again have classes, and the school day will end at 3:15 p.m. Superintendent Steve Parker released a statement, saying that the district will continue to focus on improving literacy for all students, with a priority to continue meeting the needs of each and every student through a multi-tiered system of supports.
This year, Lancaster welcomes new high school principal Roger Gross and assistant principal Jennifer Eddy. Today is also the beginning of a new school year for Northumberland students. The final bell will ring this afternoon at 3:15, and buses will begin departing at 3:25PM today.
