WASHINGTON (AP) – Airports in the Washington region say snow is affecting travel.
On Tuesday morning, Reagan National Airport’s website showed more than two dozen flights were cancelled.
Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority spokesman Chris Paolino says the weather was having an impact and travelers should check with their airlines for the most up-to-date information. Paolino says runways at both Reagan and Dulles International Airport have been closed intermittently for cleaning and treating.
Baltimore’s airport says travelers should expect delays for de-icing and check their flight status with their airline. Information on the airport’s website showed more than two dozen departing flights were delayed Tuesday morning. Airport spokesman Jonathan Dean says travelers should allow for extra travel time to the airport, as well.
